WHY DESTROY APATHY?

Apathy is the lack of concern, emotion, or care. Apathy is the poison that erodes our hope; hope is what fuels us to act. We destroy apathy so that there is room for hope to grow.

ETERNAL MISSION:

Destroy Apathy. Evoke emotion. Question the status quo. Use art and personal interactions to do this.

 

BUSINESS ETHOS:

A business can be both unified in purpose and

financially successful, while encouraging debate.

 

NEED FOR FINANCIAL VIABILITY: 

We need to eat to fight The Fight… and we have to pay our debts.

 

BUSINESS DIRECTIVES:

Showcase artists who try new shit and push the envelope, regardless of their origin.

Notwithstanding the above, work to give local artists a chance to get on the stage and walls. Be willing to take a little more of a chance on them.

 

Apply the creative process in all we do. Be thoughtful, even with the things that seem small.

Build our home on Pine Street in Burlington, and then export our mission to the world.

 

OPERATIONAL VALUES:

Do business with all types of people.

Try something different. Push boundaries. It may not work… and that’s fine.

Do better today than yesterday… or at least try to.

Respect everyone, but don’t be afraid to annoy them sometimes.

Boring sucks.  If it’s boring, there better be a good reason to do it.

Encourage questioning the status quo, even if it’s our status quo.

Encourage internal debate, speak up, move on, and then live with the consequences of the final

decision. Everyone should still have fun at the holiday party.
