Irish Trad Jam

There has been a Wednesday night Irish Session in Burlington for many decades.   It has now found a home at Arts Riot,  the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month,  6 p.m. to 9 p.m.    Not a performance exactly,   but more of a musical conversation between skilled pipers, fiddlers,  harpists, banjo players, accordionists and more as they play tunes and sing songs both ancient and modern, but always timeless.    A good Irish session permeates whatever group of people or venue it finds itself in.   You almost don’t notice it,  but that elusive irish quality,  known as the craic. becomes mightier.    Musicians and singers familiar with this kind of music are welcome to join in
